Who doesn’t love a picnic? This alumni event has always been very popular with our Alumni, and provides a great opportunity to connect with other Classmates and Alumni of other classes. West High Cowboys always bring their favorite recipes to share. Some even bring something tasty that was published in the Alumni Cookbook!



In recent years we have used the Fellowship Hall at the Crossroads United Methodist Church as our picnic location but PLEASE NOTE:
The 2026 event will be held at West High School, 179 South Powell Avenue, Columbus, Ohio  43204 on July 26. 2026.


While the food is always the highlight of the picnic, this is also a special time for alumni across many graduation years to meet, talk about West High during their years there, and remember the neighborhoods they lived in.



All alumni, along with their family, are invited to attend this free event. No reservation is necessary, just show up, bring a dish to share and enjoy!



The Alumni Association provides Sloppy Joe’s prepared by Eli Bowen ’74 (Alumni Board Concessions Chair), soft drinks and water and everyone enjoys sampling the many dishes brought to share.  It is a wonderful time to connect with graduates from many classes.
